The Process

SofTap Technique:
When enhancing your eyes, one of the most beautiful, subtle and lasting options is the SofTap eyeliner method. This process is carried out over two sessions, just like many of our permanent makeup treatments.

The pigment is applied using the SofTap method — a hand-held stippling/dotting technique rather than a bright, single solid line at first. SofTap creates soft, small dots along the lash line that together build up to a crisp, even line. It gives control and precision with less trauma, especially important with the delicate skin of the eyelid.

First Appointment (≈ 2 hours)

• Consultation & Design
  We begin with a full consultation — discussing shape, thickness, desired style (smokey, crisp, thin, bold, etc.), and color. 
• Pre-Draw & Outline
  We’ll draw on a design for your eyelid(s) together so you can see how it will look. Your input matters — you live with your eyes every day, and I want you to feel confident in every line. 
• Pain Management
  There is going to be some level of discomfort due to sharp needles on your eyelids.  I use multiple numbing creams to ease the pain.  I might even tell you some absurd life stores to keep your mind off of it too.  
• Pigmentation with SofTap

Follow-Up Appointment (≈ 4–6 weeks later, ~1 hr 30min)

• Healing Assessment
  Once your liner has fully healed, we see how pigment retention, color, and placement held up. Some areas may fade or soften more than others; this session lets us see the “after picture” naturally.
• Adjustments & “The Magic”
  In this appointment we do the touch-ups. We can deepen color, sharpen edges, adjust thickness, or perfect symmetry. This is when the true final look comes together; it's where we refine what was laid down in the first session.

What To Expect

• Because eyelid skin is thinner and more sensitive, healing and sensation will be different from what you experience after brows. You might feel more tender, or like you’ve cried (easy puffiness, slight swelling) in the first few days.
• The pigment may look darker right after application. As healing progresses, it softens significantly.
• It’s easier to add pigment than to take it away, so the first appointment is always done with care and consideration.

Things to Avoid -
​BEFORE Appointment 

• Facials and Botox – 2 weeks before
• Blood thinning medications – 1 week prior.
• Please let me know in advance if you are on any prescription medications.
  
• Caffeine, alcohol, aspirin – 24 hrs. before
• Due to the nature of the appointment children are not allowed in the salon.

Things to Avoid -
​AFTER Appointment 

• Contacts and make-up touching your eyes for the week. 
• You do not want any bacteria around the area to help prevent any kind of infection.
• Touching your eyes.
• Excessive sweating
• Sunbathing
• Swimming, ocean, jacuzzi

Make Your Life Easier

• Wash your hair the night before or the morning of your appointment.
• Come in with a clean face.
• If you want me to see what you would like your eyeliner to look like you can always take photos in advance.
• By coming in with no makeup and clean hair it will make your life easier the rest of the day!

Don’t Be Late!

​Please account for there being traffic and finding time to park.  For every minute you are late its time taken away from your numbing time.

​It never hurts to be early but trust me when I say
​it will hurt if you are late!
